Outlander's true north has always been its romance and Season Three understands that in spades.
Recent episodes of Outlander have introduced us to yet another quality we wish we had in common with Claire and Jamie: They're almost immune to aging.
Performance-wise, Balfe is Outlander's MVP in a walk, and Heughan often rises to meet her -- when they're together, at least.
Outlander is unique in how it uses sex to think about character development.
I love that she isn't perfect as a parent and spouse (neither is Frank), that her decisions affected those around her for better or worse, and that she acknowledged a distance between adult Brianna and herself and was willing to mend that.
